The opening round of the 2019 AFL Ontario season is set for a host of big games this weekend. There is no doubt that one of the highlight this weekend will be the 2018 AFL Ontario Grand Final rematch between the Toronto Eagles and Ottawa Swans. Both teams will be looking to get their seasons started on the right track with a big win.

The Toronto Eagles come into 2019 looking to go one step further than last year, after disappointing loss in the AFL Grand final. With a goup of new faces down at then club they will be looking to set their path for another run at a premiership.

The Swans had been the best side of the 2018 season, and were able to consolidate their season by winning the ultimate prize. They will now be working towards one of the hardest tasks in football, back to back premierships.

Last season these two were the benchmark for the rest of the league and to be honest, there really wasn’t much between them. With the season up an running, this is certain to be contender for match of the round.

2. No longer the ‘Easy Beats’ in the league, the Swans had an amazing 2018 and will continued to be a front runner this season. They have shown they can win on the road and will be confident in challenging for the 4 points this weekend.
