The Toronto Eagles will be searching for their first win of the 2019 season, returning to Colonel Sam Smith Park for their round 2 clash against the Toronto Rebels.

The Eagles suffered a disappointing loss last weekend and will want to get themselves back on track. While it’s only early in the season, another lost and the season gets more challenging moving forward. The Rebels had a very strong win over the Wildcats in round one and showed that they will once again be a competitive side this season.

Both sides tend to play their best footy when they face each other. With some tightly contested battles over the past few seasons, this looks to be another classic match between the two!

WHERE AND WHEN: HS, Saturday, June 1, 3:00pm

LAST TIME THEY MET
R9, 2018, Toronto Rebels 7.10 (52) def by Toronto Eagles 11.5 (71) at HS

KEY FACTORS
1. After such a disappointing round one effort, the Eagles will be looking to bounce back with a better brand of football. Expect to see more run around the midfield and movement up forward this weekend.

2. After a solid win last week, the Rebels are hoping to be back in the mix in 2019. While 2018 was a tough year for the club, they have shown over the years that they are a competitive side on game day.

3. Both sides have solid scoring options up forward and it will be up to the midfields to provided as many opportunities in the forward fifty. Who ever controls the centre clearances will no doubt walk away with the 4 points this weekend.
