The Toronto Eagles travel down to ‘The Royal City’ to face the Grand River Gargoyles in round 6. Both teams head to Margaret Geene Park with solid wins under their belt and will be looking to keep themselves on the winners list.

The Eagles head into round 6 with a few injury concerns but should have a full list come the weekend. After to tough matches to stat the season the Eagles have put together three solid straight wins.

The Gargoyles are coming off a big loss against the Rebels and will be looking to right the ship at home. The last few years haven’t been too kind for the ‘Goyles’ but a win here could get season 2019 back on track.

These two side always provide some highly contested footy when they meet and this is set to continue in that vein.

WHERE AND WHEN: MGP, Saturday, July 6, 12:00pm

LAST TIME THEY MET
R6, 2018,  Toronto Eagles 18.9 (117) def Grand River Gargoyles 2.4 (16) at HS

KEY FACTORS
1. The Eagles’ midfield was the difference in their win over the Blues last weekend. If they can continue to win hard, contested ball in the middle they will be hard to stop.

2. While the Gargoyles haven’t started the season the way they would have wanted, with only 1 win out of 5 games, three of those games have been away games. The Gargoyles always play better at home and the Eagles will need to be aware of their depth and abilities around their home ground.

3. Will the Eagle’s forward line fire again? With multiple goal scorers last weekend, they we able to pile on 23 goals. If they aren’t kept in check defensively, a similar result could be on the cards.
