This weekend could potentially mark an historic milestone for the Toronto Eagles Australian football club and AFL Ontario. Toronto Eagle, Aaron Falcioni, is close to kicking the most goals in AFL Ontario history.

Falcioni needs three goals to break the all time record, which is currently held by Toronto Eagles Alumni, Michael Pearson. Pearson sit at the top of the all time goalkicking ladder with 525 goals.

Falcioni, who is in his 24th season, will be only the second person in AFL Ontario history to have kicked over 500 goals. A feat that may likely never happen again.

When asked about the upcoming milestone Falcioni responded by stating “To be honest, I haven’t thought about it that much,”

“I’m just playing every game on its merits, and just want myself and the team to keep playing consistent football, and when the moment comes, it comes.”

The Toronto Eagles pride themselves on their storied history, and are no strangers to success and accomplishments.

“We have been extremely fortunate to have so many amazing milestones and achievements throughout the great history of the club” stated club president Salv Capoferri. “And this will no doubt be one that will be celebrated by all our current and past members.”

The Toronto Eagles head down to ‘Steel Town’ this weekend to take on the Hamilton Wildcats, for to right to hold top position on the league ladder. It will no doubt be a great contest between the two clubs, and hopefully one for the club to celebrate.
