The Toronto Eagles travel down to ‘The Royal City’ to face the Grand River Gargoyles in round 2. Both teams head to the Margaret Geene Park with solid wins under their belt and will be looking to keep themselves on the winners list.
The Eagles head into round two with a few injury concerns but should have a full list come the weekend. While they scratched out a round one victory over the Toronto Rebels, most would assume they would start favorites in this clash.
The Gargoyles are coming off a massive win against the Central Blue and will be hoping to add another scalp at home. The last few years haven’t been too kind for the ‘Goyles’ but a win here could set up their season.
These two side always provide a highly contested game of footy when they meet and this is set to continue in that vein.

KEY FACTORS
1. The Eagles’ midfield was the difference in their win over the Rebels last weekend. If they can continue to win hard, contested ball in the middle they will be hard to stop.
2. The Gargoyles started their season with a bang, after a massive win last weekend. They will provide a solid test for the Eagles, who will need to be aware of the Gargoyles depth and abilities around their home ground.
3. Will the Eagle’s forward line fire? With only one multiple goal scorer last weekend, they will need to provide more options up forward if they want to get over the line.
