The 2024 AFL Ontario Awards Night celebrated the outstanding talent and dedication within the league, recognizing both individual and team accomplishments. Among the night’s highlights was Kevin Minaker of the Toronto Eagles, who took home the prestigious 2024 Stefan Leyhane Medal, awarded to the Canadian Best and Fairest player. This honor solidifies Minaker’s status as one of the league’s premier athletes, showcasing his consistent excellence throughout the season.
In addition, several Toronto Eagles players were selected for the 2024 All-AFL Ontario team, including Kevin Minaker, Jay Himat (VC), Jarrod Watson, Sean Fahey, and Bradley Harding, marking a stellar representation for the club. Further adding to the Eagles’ success, Aaron Falcioni was chosen as an assistant coach for the All-AFL Ontario team, demonstrating his valuable contribution to the league.
Rounding out the Eagles’ accolades, Salv Capoferri received a League Appreciation Award for his volunteer service, recognizing his dedication and efforts behind the scenes to support the growth and success of AFL Ontario.
