AFTER AN IMPRESSIVE victory against the Etobicoke Kangaroos in round one, the Toronto Eagles will head to the nation’s capital this weekend.
The Eagles looked very strong against the Kangaroos and once again showed why they are such a quality team. Spectators were treated with good ball movement, strong defense and some slick passages of play in their round one victory.
Due to lower numbers this weekend, expect to see many of the Eagles first and second year players gaining more game time and experience in this match. Don’t let this fool you though, as the Eagles will be looking to dominate the less experienced Swans and secure their place on the OAFL ladder.
After a strong showing in Guelph last weekend, Ottawa will be looking forward to their season opener at home against the Eagles. The Swans had a fantastic season last year getting four wins for the year, which included their first for the club. Expect them to come out strong.
This will once again be a great game of football with both teams working hard for the win. Game starts at 2:00pm.

STRENGTHS
The Toronto Eagles come into round two in good form, after a fantastic win against the Kangaroos last weekend. Continuing to play their brand of football has made them a side that is hard to contain on the field.
POTENTIAL WEAKNESSES
Last year the Eagles went to Ottawa with an arrogance and cockiness that could have had a negative effect on the game. The Eagles will have to respect the up and coming Swans to make sure there are no surprises.
AT THE SELECTION TABLE
As with most team when traveling to Ottawa the Eagles will be without many of their starters. Though they will still have a strong team set for action.
DANGERMAN
Ajit Alister: Last year’s league MVP started the season in fine form against the Kangaroos. Expect to see Alister get plenty of touches and take control of the game from the middle.
IT’S NOT GENERALLY KNOWN…
In every game that the Toronto Eagles and Ottawa Swans have played, Ottawa has never scored 30 or more points.
